The Lizardmen marathon continues. This week I painted up a unit of three salamanders along with their skink handlers.
In 8th edition, it sounds like salamanders are the Lizardmen's most devastating unit, point-for-point. Can't wait to take them out for a spin.
The salamanders were primed white, sprayed bright yellow, then washed with GW Chestnut ink. They were drybrushed in yellow and the dark blue striping was added and highlighted.
Next up, I'd like to take on the Kroxigor miniatures, so I'll probably start clean up and assembly of the metal models this afternoon.
'Til next time.
Hoooo boy. Those look awesome and also scary because I too have heard how dangerous these are in 8th (after the slaan of course!). Sweet paintjobs.
ReplyDeleteYour basing is lovely--what are you using for rubble?
ReplyDeleteHey Bob,
ReplyDeleteI use the GW basing sand mix, but for the rubble bits I use cut up wine cork.
You're a machine! You should sell clones of yourself.
ReplyDeleteWow I you sure painted up this army quite fast,
ReplyDeleteand at an excelent quality to boot. :)
Grewat looking salamanders by the way. :D
Thanks N810. I'm pretty happy about how it's coming along.
