Daylight Savings...Thagrosh

The first Sunday in November always ranks as one of my favorite days of the year. As we say goodbye to daylight savings time there is a magical, awesome extra hour to spend on the weekend. This year, I dumped that extra hour into finishing off Thagrosh the Messiah, Everblight's epic Warlock from Hordes.

It's a big model...and I can't wait to get it out on the table.

Also got a new computer this week. It came with a new version of iPhoto and some snappy new effects buttons. As witnessed by...

'Til next time.

  1. Wow, love that pale blue look. A very nice paint job indeed!

  2. Very nice work. Painting eThag myself just now and hope to get it as cool as you did mate.

Oh, tell your boss at BioWare that we NEED the PC version of Warmachine/Hordes. Just the turn based game with great graphics and 3D engine. With campaigns!!! Same what Cyanide did for Blood Bowl.

  3. Rillikerho,

LOL...don't think the subject hasn't popped up over the years. But then, we talk about a lot of things!

  4. Great job! Just subscribed to your blog.

  5. Brother Captain,

    Great to have you aboard!

Next update is on some Legion Warmongers...probably on Sunday or early next week.

  6. That sure is a pretty model. Is it any good in the actual game?

  7. Warhammer 39999,

Legion is known as a warbeast-heavy Hordes faction. This version of Thagrosh is very strong with lots of melee beasts like Shredders.

  8. Thanks for the insight.

I've never played Hordes, though I did play a single game of Warmachine. I wound up buying some of the Everblight models because I thought they looked pretty good as stand-ins for Tyranids. Now that I have six models, I wonder if I shouldn't pick up a warcaster (or whatever it's called in Hordes) and give it a go.

Got any suggestions on which to pick?

  9. Warhammer,

Sure...Lylyth or Thagrosh, regular or epic version of either. Best choice for a limited number of warbeasts (which is what it sounds like you have) is, in fact, this fellow...epic Thagrosh.

    Good luck!
