Skrox Unit Finished

Well, I completed enough Skinks this week to field a full unit of Skinks and Kroxigors for the Warhammer Lizardmen army.

What did I learn? Skink models are not designed to rank up! I swear, the toughest job I had this week was to configure 24 Skinks so that they would go together in a semblance of a formation.

Next for the Lizardmen will be a unit of Chameleon Skinks, but first I'm going to take a break for a couple of weeks and work on some other projects. First up? I received a package from Squadron Mail Order last Monday...the 28mm(ish) Viking Ship models I'd ordered came in. I've got two of them on the table right now, and once they're done, I'll have transports for my 9th century Danish army!

'Til next time.

  1. Very nice regiment! I have never used any skinks with kroxigor ever, though I have both. I need to give it a try sometime.

  2. Lookin' good Kevin. Is that a magnetic sheet you have them on?

  3. Nice work Kevin. You have actually inspired me to start a Lizards army. I have never play Warhammer before so I am watching your site with great interest.

  4. Battlemind,

Yes, magnetic sheet. A 3/32" magnet fits nicely under a standard GW base.

    Beccas,

    Good luck with your army!

    Thanks guys,
    Kevin.

  8. very nice looking. I'm slowly working towards magnetizing my movement trays. The Skrox unit works really well as a flanking unit and a relatively nice anvil. With the Kroxigors in the unit, your opponent has to take Fear checks against it. If you're looking for a banner, the Steggadon kit has a good one for an easy conversion. Did you also mail order the magnetic sheets?

  9. Mr Blank,

Thanks for the tip on the banner...will do! Regarding self adhesive magnetic sheet, I get mine at Michaels, which is a local craft store chain...not sure if they are in other countries...might be.
